DOUBLE VISION
Inspired by the Linda Farrow BOFFO 2013 video which captures the essence of British pop culture in terms of style, color, and 60 – 70’s graphic boldness. The video captures the duality of contemporary life (grey tone) vs that of 1970’s (color), therefore creating a double vision – two images within a single object. We chose to design the store with this graphic boldness which provokes a transformative urban environment within the confinement and static conditions of the shipping container using reflection to create Double Vision. The concept is to create an interior spatial urban perspectival condition of expansion and contraction. As a result, our intention was to create an atmospheric ambiance specific to the brand for the contemporary and 1970’s inspired collection both as a showroom and experiential space.
